Casablanca-Introduction To Ricks Bar

Image
In depth analysis of the cinematography used in the introduction to Rick's Bar scene Cinematography The scene starts with an establishing shot which consists of the sign for Ricks Bar the sign however reads 'Rick's Café Americain' we will find out however that this is more of a bar than anything else the camera then slowly pans down and starts to move forward, this is to make the audience feel like they are walking in as the camera is moving quite slowly and is just below head height quite like an over the shoulder shot as it is seen to be one until the actor moved out of frame now the lighting outside the bar consists of being very dark however this entices the audiences eyes to Rick's Bar as it has got a massive neon sign. The framing in the establishing shot at the start of the film really wanted the audience to focus on the sign, I think that they've done this to portray the name as is isn't really a café and they want you to know that. The camera throu...

High Maintenance Evaluation- not finished

Plot Twist-High Maintenance In the short film High maintenance there are many different red herrings however to the audience at the start of the short film you would portray that there would be none as the 'people' used within the short film are normal and don't put off a sense of worry amongst the audience as to there being anything suspicious about the short film. The first red herring I would like to point out is the name of the short film 'High Maintenance' this name alone could suggest a many things such as the title is coming from the main male or female within the short film and could mean that the relationship is very 'high maintenance' and that they need to keep on top of it and as the short film starts it really portrays this idea of the couple having to keep their relationship together unwillingly as the woman has a problem because the male would not drink any wine which makes her angry in which she throws her drink over him but just as that ha...
